different plastic spoon molds steel suggestions


Plastic spoons are widely used in our daily life, such as coffee spoons, ice-cream spoons, fast food spoons, etc. Here we share some of plastic spoon molds informations.



For example, this plastic spoon, the plastic material is PP, spoon length is 110mm, weight is 1.0g. We have made 12-cavity, 16-cavity plastic spoon molds, 32-cavity, 48-cavity, etc. in round mold shape and square mold shape, could apply with hot runner system and cold runner system according to customer’s different requirements and investment.

If the plastic material for this spoon is PP material, we suggest to apply at least 718H steel for molds cavity and core. Or H13/NAK80/S136 steels are better than 718H, could have a longer mold life and production quantity.

If the plastic material for your plastic spoon is PS, we do not suggest to apply with 718H, while the harness is not hard enough, will influence the spoon surface beauty, will have scrach marks on PS spoons. In this case, H13/NAK80/S136 are the best choice for your plastic spoon molds.
